What does "home" mean to you? Is it a place, walls, land — or a space where you are accepted and loved? This painting, by slightly opening the door for the viewer, is a reflection on what we call our home.
This work was inspired by the quiet tension of transitional spaces — doorways, porches, thresholds — and the emotional states they evoke. I was drawn to the contrast between stillness and movement, presence and absence. The symbolic red star references cultural memory and the traces of history that remain in everyday architecture.
I hope viewers experience a sense of introspection and emotional resonance. The scene invites them to pause and consider their own moments of transition — times when they stood between the familiar and the unknown. The atmosphere is intentionally ambiguous, encouraging personal interpretation and emotional connection.
